1. Strenqo is not a medical device
Strenqo is a wellness, training and informational support application. It is not:
- a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) or FDA Section 201(h)
- an emergency healthcare service
- a substitute for consultation with a doctor, nutritionist, psychologist or other licensed healthcare professional
- a system for diagnosis, prevention or treatment of any medical condition
Strenqo does not issue diagnoses and does not prescribe treatment.
2. What the service does (and does not do)
| What it does | What it does NOT do |
|---|---|
| Logs your workouts and the data you enter | Diagnose diseases |
| Computes volumes, trends and PRs based on your data | Replace a medical treatment plan |
| Suggests generic workout and nutrition plans | Prescribe therapies, drugs or supplements |
| Shows recovery, HRV, strain metrics from your wearables | Diagnose overtraining syndrome, cardiovascular disease, sleep disorders or any medical condition |
| Provides a conversational AI Coach | Replace a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, psychologist or doctor |
3. AI Coach disclaimer
Replies and suggestions generated by artificial intelligence (AI Coach, plan generation, food photo analysis) may be:
- Incomplete with respect to your individual situation
- Generalised and not personalised for specific clinical conditions
- Wrong due to inherent limitations of language models
AI Coach replies do not constitute medical, nutritional or other healthcare professional advice. Do not use the AI Coach to:
- Decide whether to interrupt or modify a medical therapy
- Decide whether to take or stop a drug
- Self-diagnose
- Assess medical emergencies
In case of symptoms, clinical doubts or emergency situations, always contact your doctor, emergency room or the single emergency number (112 in the EU).
4. Wearables, heart rate and recovery metrics
Data read from wearables — whether on-device (Apple HealthKit, Google Health Connect, BLE HR devices) or imported from third-party cloud platforms via OAuth (Whoop, Oura, and any future cloud-wearable provider added to the Subprocessor list §3 — such as Garmin Connect) — is:
- Informative and based on the accuracy of the source device's sensors
- Statistical approximations of real physiological quantities
- Not intended for clinical diagnosis of any condition (cardiopathies, arrhythmias, sleep disorders, etc.)
Derived metrics (recovery score, strain, HRV, active calories) are computed by Strenqo on the basis of statistical models and have no diagnostic value. Strenqo explicitly does NOT import the proprietary scores of third-party platforms (Whoop recovery/strain, Oura readiness/sleep score, etc.): the score you see in Strenqo is always Strenqo's own calculation on the raw biometric data, regardless of which device collected it.
5. Subjects who should consult a doctor BEFORE using Strenqo
It is recommended to consult your doctor before starting a training programme or dietary change with Strenqo if:
- You have a known cardiovascular condition
- You have a history of recent or unresolved musculoskeletal injuries
- You are pregnant or in the postpartum period
- You have a current or past eating disorder
- You are on drug therapy that affects physical performance
- You are under 18 and have not had a recent paediatric evaluation
- You are over 65 and have not had a recent medical evaluation
- You are recovering from an acute illness or surgery
This list is indicative and not exhaustive.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Strenqo controller is not liable for damages arising from:
- Use of the service for unintended purposes (self-diagnosis, self-medication)
- Sole reliance on AI Coach suggestions without consulting a qualified professional
- Errors in food data (the OpenFoodFacts database may contain incomplete or inaccurate information)
- Inaccuracies of wearable metrics (responsibility of the device manufacturer)
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law, including non-waivable EU consumer rights.
