Strenqo Account Deletion
Current publication-ready legal information for the Strenqo mobile app.
Version: 1.1.1
Last updated: 2026-07-11
Language: English (the Italian version is canonical in case of discrepancy)
1. Foreword
This page explains how to request deletion of your Strenqo account and the personal data associated with it. You can do this:
- directly from the app, at any time, without contacting us
- by written request, if you can no longer access the app or the account
Deletion is free and requires no justification. It is a right guaranteed by Art. 17 GDPR (right to be forgotten).
2. How to delete the account from the app (recommended)
The flow is three-step with email confirmation:
- Open the Strenqo app (iOS or Android)
- Tap the Profile tab
- Scroll down to the Account section and tap Delete account
- Confirm the request in the dialog that appears
- You will receive an email at the address associated with the account. Click the link in the email to confirm your identity (link valid for 1 hour)
- Return to the app and tap "Delete account" again to complete the deletion
At this point the request triggers the delete-account Edge Function which:
- Performs the cascade deletion on the database via the
cascade_delete_userstored procedure - Performs recursive cleanup of files in the three storage buckets (
progress-photos,food-images,workout-media) - Deletes the associated RevenueCat subscriber (subscription sub-processor) via API DELETE call
- Sends a final confirmation email in the user's language via Resend (8 supported languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese)
- Records the event in the audit log (fields: request identifier, outcome, email language, outcome of RevenueCat call)
- Removes Strenqo-side cloud wearable connections where technically possible. You should also revoke Strenqo from WHOOP/Oura and, if available and connected, Garmin if you want to remove access on the provider side
3. How to delete the account without the app
If you no longer have access to the app (e.g. lost device, app uninstalled) you can request deletion by writing to:
- Email: strenqo-support@strenqo.eu (or PEC: andreasmondo@ultracert.it)
- Subject: "Strenqo account deletion request"
- Required content:
- Email address associated with the account
- User UUID identifier if known
- Explicit confirmation: "I request the deletion of my account and all associated personal data"
You will receive confirmation of the deletion within 30 days of receipt of the request (Art. 12.3 GDPR), subject to verification of your identity to prevent fraudulent deletion of other accounts.
4. What data is deleted
At the moment of deletion, the following are cascade-removed:
4.1 Database data
- User profile (weight, height, age, sex, country, language, goals, preferences)
- All workout sessions, exercises and sets
- All nutrition data (meals, foods, hydration, custom recipes)
- All body check-ins (weight, photos, measurements)
- All workout templates and planning templates
- All user preferences
- AI Coach conversations
- AI Coach memory and AI preferences
- Health/wearable snapshots stored in Strenqo, including data imported from Apple Health, Health Connect, WHOOP, Oura or Garmin when linked to your account
- Cloud wearable connections and encrypted OAuth tokens for WHOOP, Oura and Garmin only after approval/availability and user connection
- Pro subscription state (synced with RevenueCat)
- Entitlement records
4.2 Storage data
- Body check-in photos (bucket
progress-photos) - Food photos (bucket
food-images) - Optional workout media (bucket
workout-media)
4.3 Sub-processors
- RevenueCat: the RevenueCat subscriber linked to your account is automatically cancelled by our
delete-accountEdge Function via API DELETE call. Purchase history on Apple App Store / Google Play is governed by the respective store policies; if you wish to delete those as well, follow Apple's instructions (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google's (play.google.com) - Google Gemini: AI Coach conversations, Coach memory and AI outputs are deleted from our database. Google retains API logs according to its own policy (policies.google.com)
- WHOOP, Oura, Garmin: we delete encrypted OAuth tokens, sync cursors and imported wearable data from your Strenqo account. Deleting your Strenqo account does not delete your account or historical data directly at those providers
- Apple/Google platform diagnostics: the current build does not send crash reports to Sentry or another Strenqo third-party crash SDK. Any platform diagnostics collected by Apple or Google depend on your OS/store settings and their policies
5. What is NOT deleted (residual retention)
For security, audit and legal reasons, some data is retained for a limited time after deletion:
| Category | Retention period | Rationale | Mechanism |
|---|---|---|---|
Audit log of the completed deletion (table audit_events) | 90 days | Document compliance with the request (Art. 5.2 GDPR — accountability) | Automatic daily purge via pg_cron (job strenqo-purge-audit-events) |
Original privacy request (table privacy_requests, status completed) | 30 days | Request trace reference | Automatic daily purge via pg_cron (job strenqo-purge-privacy-requests) |
| System backups | Per Supabase (DB provider) policy | Security and disaster recovery | Managed by the provider |
Audit-retained data contains only the request identifier, timestamp and outcome; it does not contain identifying personal data of the deleted profile.
6. Health and connected wearable data
Data that exists only in Apple Health / HealthKit or Google Health Connect remains under operating-system control. Strenqo can, however, save derived or associated data in your account, such as workouts, cardio sessions, recovery, daily snapshots or cloud wearable imports.
Deleting your Strenqo account:
- Removes health/wearable data stored in Strenqo, including snapshots and WHOOP/Oura imports and, if available and connected, Garmin imports
- Removes references to Apple Health / Health Connect data in Strenqo workout sessions
- Does not delete data from Apple Health / Google Health Connect
- Does not delete your account or historical data directly at WHOOP, Oura or Garmin
To manage data in the native apps, go to:
- iOS: Settings → Health → Access and devices → Strenqo (path may vary slightly by iOS version and localisation)
- Android: Health Connect → Apps and data → Strenqo (path may vary slightly by Android version and device manufacturer)
- WHOOP/Oura and Garmin if available and connected: revoke Strenqo from the provider's connected-app/privacy settings
7. Effects of deletion
- Account: you will no longer be able to log in with your credentials. You can always create a new one in the future
- Pro subscription: account deletion on Strenqo does not automatically cancel the Apple/Google subscription. To stop renewal, follow §7.3 of the Terms of Service
- Apple/Google health data: remains where it is (see §6)
- Connected devices: HealthKit/Health Connect permissions and WHOOP/Oura access, plus Garmin access if available and connected, must be revoked separately from the operating system or provider if you also want to remove authorization at the source
8. Identity verification
To prevent fraudulent deletion of other accounts, we may:
- Request confirmation from the email associated with the account
- Request information that only the account holder could know (e.g. approximate date of last login, country of registration)
- Refuse requests coming from emails not associated with the account, unless documentary proof of identity is provided (e.g. legal guardianship of a minor, inheritance)
9. Deletion of a minor's account
If you are a parent or legal guardian of a minor who has used Strenqo and want to request deletion of their account, write to:
- Email: strenqo-support@strenqo.eu
- Subject: "COPPA / Minor — deletion request"
Provide the email associated with the minor's account. We will proceed with the deletion and send you confirmation.
