1. Foreword
You can request account deletion in two ways:
- Directly from the app, at any time, without contacting us
- By written request, if you can no longer access the app or the account
Deletion is free and requires no justification.
2. How to delete the account from the app (recommended)
The flow is three-step with email confirmation:
- Open the Strenqo app (iOS or Android)
- Tap the Profile tab
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete account
- Confirm the request in the dialog that appears
- You will receive an email at the address associated with the account. Click the link in the email to confirm your identity (link valid for 1 hour)
- Return to the app and tap “Delete account” again to complete the deletion
The request then triggers the delete-account Edge Function which:
- Performs the cascade deletion on the database via the
cascade_delete_userstored procedure - Performs recursive cleanup of files in the three storage buckets (
progress-photos,food-images,workout-media) - Deletes the associated RevenueCat subscriber via API DELETE call
- Sends a final confirmation email in your language via Resend (8 supported languages)
- Records the event in the audit log
3. How to delete the account without the app
If you no longer have access to the app, request deletion by writing to:
- Email: strenqo-support@strenqo.eu (or PEC: andreasmondo@ultracert.it)
- Subject: “Strenqo account deletion request”
- Content required:
- Email address associated with the account
- User UUID identifier if known
- Explicit confirmation: “I request the deletion of my account and all associated personal data”
You will receive confirmation of the deletion within 30 days of receipt of the request (Art. 12.3 GDPR), subject to identity verification.
4. What data is deleted
4.1 Database data
- User profile (weight, height, age, sex, country, language, goals, preferences)
- All workout sessions, exercises and sets
- All nutrition data (meals, foods, hydration, custom recipes)
- All body check-ins (weight, photos, measurements)
- All workout templates and planning templates
- All user preferences
- AI Coach conversations
- Pro subscription state (synced with RevenueCat)
- Entitlement records
4.2 Storage data
- Body check-in photos (bucket
progress-photos) - Food photos (bucket
food-images) - Workout media (bucket
workout-media)
4.3 Sub-processors
- RevenueCat: the RevenueCat subscriber linked to your account is automatically cancelled by our
delete-accountEdge Function via API DELETE. Purchase history on Apple App Store / Google Play is governed by store policies (see reportaproblem.apple.com or play.google.com) - OpenAI: AI Coach conversations are deleted from our database. OpenAI retains API logs per their policy
- Sentry: any crash reports already sent before deletion remain in Sentry's logs (typically 90-day retention); the user identifier is pseudonymous (UUID). To request deletion from Sentry too, write to us after the account is deleted
5. What is NOT deleted (residual retention)
| Category | Retention period | Rationale | Mechanism |
|---|---|---|---|
Audit log of the deletion (table audit_events) | 90 days | Compliance with the request (Art. 5.2 GDPR — accountability) | Daily purge via pg_cron |
Original privacy request (table privacy_requests, completed) | 30 days | Request trace reference | Daily purge via pg_cron |
| System backups | Per Supabase (DB provider) policy | Security and disaster recovery | Managed by the provider |
Audit-retained data contains only the request identifier, timestamp and outcome; it does not contain identifying personal data of the deleted profile.
6. Data from connected wearables
Data read from Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect is never permanently copied to our servers. Deleting your account:
- Removes references to that data in our workout sessions
- Does not delete data from your Apple Health / Google Health Connect app
To manage data in the native apps:
- iOS: Settings → Health → Access and devices → Strenqo
- Android: Health Connect → Apps and data → Strenqo
7. Effects of deletion
- Account: you will no longer be able to log in with your credentials. You can always create a new account in the future
- Pro subscription: account deletion does not automatically cancel the Apple/Google subscription. To stop renewal, follow §7.3 of the Terms of Service
- Apple/Google health data: remains where it is (see §6)
- Connected devices: HealthKit/Health Connect permissions must be revoked separately from the OS
8. Identity verification
To prevent fraudulent deletion of other accounts, we may:
- Request confirmation from the email associated with the account
- Request information that only the account holder could know (e.g. approximate date of last login, country of registration)
- Refuse requests coming from emails not associated with the account, unless documentary proof of identity is provided
9. Deletion of a minor's account
If you are a parent or legal guardian of a minor who has used Strenqo, write to:
- Email: strenqo-support@strenqo.eu
- Subject: “COPPA / Minor — deletion request”
Provide the email associated with the minor's account.
